The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following students have been named to the Dean's List for Fall 2016.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently released the names of full-time students who were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester.

University of Scranton announced more than 1,500 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2016 fall semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,401 students have qualified for the Fall 2016 Dean's List.

The following local residents made the Fall 2016 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 559 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

A number of Eastern students commit to student internships as an on-site practical work experience with a company or organization that can provide them with firsthand knowledge of a career field. The internship is usually related to the student's major or is directly related to the student's career interest. They often complement the student's coursework, can incorporate skills and classroom experience into the workplace and assist the student in developing new abilities and skills.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently hosted its annual Scholarship Reception in the Fine Arts Instructional Center. The event brought together major ECSU Foundation scholarship donors and their respective student-recipients. This year students were awarded scholarships, totaling more than $600,000 in financial aid to students of all backgrounds and academic majors.

Forty-nine exemplary psychology students from Eastern Connecticut State University presented their research on Dec. 9 at the department's annual Psychological Science Night.

Clarkson University has announced recipients of endowed, sponsored, and Share Clarkson scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Loyola University Maryland welcomed the members of its class of 2020. As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. In August, Champlain College welcomed the class of 2020 to its Burlington, Vt. campus.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.
